Children and Youth Religious Education
| Children are always welcome to be a part of the services at UUG. Some Services are designated as Intergenerational Services and children participate in the service in lieu of Religious Education Classes. These Intergenerational Services are designed to appeal to young and old through songs, poems, and youth participation. |

UU Nursery
Our nursery is a cozy room for children from infancy through age two. It is a comfortable place to relax and play. Nursery volunteers are available every Sunday to take care of your little one. You are welcome to bring your infant to the service with you, join your child in the nursery, or leave your child in the nursery with a caring volunteer. The decision is completely your own. We want you and your child to feel comfortable at UUG.
UU Garden
The UU Garden is an open classroom designed to accommodate children 2-years old through 9-years old. Children in this classroom learn at their own pace with the guidance of classroom advisors. A typical class includes sharing stories, singing, dancing, and hands on activities. The classroom theme and core curriculum are designed to teach children about the importance of community and the history of Unitarian Universalism.
UU Teens & Tweens
This group currently includes students who are 10-years old through 14-years old. Students in this age group play an important role in designing their own curriculum, with the guidance of class advisors. The curriculum is based on group interests and an individual’s spiritual path. Current group activities include nature hikes, community gardening, and game days.
UU Young Adults
Students from the UU Teens & Tweens will “graduate” into this group after accomplishing set criteria established by the Religious Education Committee. This criteria is currently under development. More information for young adults can be found at http://www25.uua.org/YRUU.
